PDA LGBT+ Network attends Manchester Pride 2024

For the third year in a row, the PDA LGBT+ Network was proud to return and take part in Manchester Pride 2024. The annual Pride parade takes place on August Bank holiday weekend and this year fell on Saturday 24 August.

My South Asian coming out experience

An anonymous clinical pharmacist has shared their coming out experience as a South Asian woman who feared risking disownment and abandonment by their family and society due to their sexual identity. They also share how they feared being found out at work due to pharmacy being 'a small world'.

With a career that spans over 30 years and includes work in public, special and academic libraries, he describes himself as an elder of the LGBTQ community who is as passionate now about diversity and inclusion as he was when he first came out as a gay man in the early 1980s. PDA Equalities Council celebrates the year’s successes

PDA LGBT+ Network speaks out against transphobic rhetoric

Following the statements by some senior government ministers at their party conference in October and the subsequent decision to reverse the commitment on banning conversion therapy, the PDA’s LGBT+ Network wholly condemns transphobic rhetoric, including comments relating to wards in hospital trusts across the UK.
