The following are some of the organisations that the PDA works with:
Fawcett Society
The Fawcett Society is the UK’s leading membership charity campaigning for gender equality and women’s rights at work, at home, and in public life. The Fawcett Society has been advancing women’s equality since 1866 when at just 19 years of age, Millicent Fawcett collected signatures on a petition for women’s votes. She went on to lead the constitutional suffrage campaign and made this cause her lifetime’s work, securing equal voting rights 62 years later.
The Fawcett Society’s vision is of a society in which “women and girls in all their diversity are equal and truly free to fulfill their potential creating a stronger, happier, better future for us all.”
NAWP (The National Association of Women Pharmacists) was founded in 1905 and has been a part of PDA since 2020 as its first Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Network. NAWP has a mission to “enable all women pharmacists to realise their full potential and raise their profile by being educationally, socially, and politically active.”
The PDA NAWP Network is a member of the Fawcett Society.
