• PDA Hospital Reps met to discuss improving the working conditions for members in the NHS

  Earlier this month, PDA Hospital Reps met to discuss their work, areas of concern and how to support each other. The meeting also gave the reps the opportunity to discuss how they can work together to improve the working conditions for members in the NHS. 

• PDA Regional Committees discuss the recent PDA general practice pharmacist work satisfaction survey

  The PDA Regional Committees are all pharmacists and PDA members from across areas of pharmacy practice and are are elected to represent the wider PDA membership. They meet regularly to discuss current issues in pharmacy ahead of PDA National Executive Committee meetings. 

• PDA to support members impacted by decision to close 300 more Boots pharmacies

  15 months after its New Pharmacy Operating Model (NPOM) reduced opening hours, Walgreens has announced plans to close or dispose of c.300 of their subsidiary Boots’ branches in the UK.

  The PDA Regional Committees are pharmacists and PDA members from across all areas of pharmacy practice. They are elected to represent the wider PDA membership. They meet regularly to discuss current issues in pharmacy ahead of PDA National Executive Committee meetings. 

• NEC elections conclude with Wales and West England ballot result

  The election for an National Executive Committee (NEC) member representing Wales and West England has concluded, with Anne Davies being elected. 

• PDA Union has agreed how to proceed towards NHS Strike Action

  The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the PDA Union has reached a historic decision for the union to call its first ever ballot for strike action.
