NAWP encourages pharmacists to take part in Wear it Pink

Friday 18 October 2024 is Wear it Pink day, which is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. The event, created by the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now, raises money to support breast cancer research.

PDA LGBT+ Network attends Manchester Pride 2024

For the third year in a row, the PDA LGBT+ Network was proud to return and take part in Manchester Pride 2024. The annual Pride parade takes place on August Bank holiday weekend and this year fell on Saturday 24 August.

PDA BAME Network launches factsheet to mark Sickle Cell Awareness Month

To mark Sickle Cell Awareness Month, the PDA BAME Network has published a factsheet to help raise awareness of the disease and help employers understand that pharmacists diagnosed with sickle cell may need time off work for medical appointments and treatment.

Lourette Latif Philips elected as the 50th President of NAWP

My South Asian coming out experience

An anonymous clinical pharmacist has shared their coming out experience as a South Asian woman who feared risking disownment and abandonment by their family and society due to their sexual identity. They also share how they feared being found out at work due to pharmacy being 'a small world'.
