Held at the London Hilton on Park Lane, the annual awards celebrate excellence across community pharmacy and recognise the individuals, teams and organisations making a positive impact on patient care and the profession. The 2026 ceremony took place on 10 September and marked the 19th annual C+D Awards.

- Ewura-Adjoa Yamoah, Vice-President of the PDA BAME Network.
- Alison Jones, Director of Policy and Communications, who also served as a judge for the Diversity and Inclusion Award category.
- Adam Somerville, President of the PDA LGBT+ Network.

The Diversity and Inclusion Award was presented to the Pharmacy Foundations Scholarship Award (PFSA), a programme that supports black trainee pharmacists through mentoring, assessment support, professional development opportunities and a strong community network. The award recognises the programme’s contribution to tackling inequalities and creating opportunities for aspiring pharmacists.

Vice-President of the PDA Ability Network, Rosie Barnes had the honour of presenting the award to the winners on behalf of the PDA.
The PDA congratulates the Pharmacy Foundations Scholarship Award team on their well-deserved success and extends its congratulations to all finalists and winners recognised during the evening. Their achievements demonstrate the positive impact that investment in inclusion, mentoring and professional development can have on the future of pharmacy.
Adam Somerville, President of the PDA LGBT+ Network said, “The PDA proudly sponsored and presented the Diversity and Inclusion award at this year’s Chemist+Druggist Awards. Representatives from each of the four PDA EDI networks attended the awards, and we discussed our work with other pharmacy professionals. There were loads of positive examples of inclusive pharmacy services to discuss. Our sponsorship of the award raises the profile of the PDA as pioneers of change and inclusivity within the profession.”
Alison Jones, Director of Policy and Communications added, “The PDA was pleased to support an event that celebrates excellence across community pharmacy, and we look forward to continuing this work with members, networks and partners to help build a more inclusive profession for the future.”
Ewura-Adjoa Yamoah, Vice-President of the BAME Network said, “It was great to attend the C + D Awards representing the PDA BAME Network. It was lovely to see the PDA sponsoring an award recognising EDI and to see that work being acknowledged within the wider pharmacy space. I really enjoyed catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people, and being part of the evening. I hope we can continue to see EDI recognised and celebrated across pharmacy.”
