During the interview, Paul Day gave an overview of how the PDA was established, its role as an association and a trade union, the launch of the equality networks and the important work the PDA do regarding its members.
Paul discusses in depth what impact the Covid-19 pandemic had on pharmacy practice and the challenges that brought such a rise in volume of patients and an increase in abuse by patients. Also how community pharmacists are under strain due to a shortage of doctors in GP surgeries as community pharmacies are an accessible option due to not being able to get appointments with local GPs and what the future of pharmacy could hold.
The interview is approximately 44 minutes long and is available to listen to on YouTube.
