  “Transparency” is a underpinning principle of the PDA’s objectives for any pay system and the union has produced a “Ready Reckoner” tool to assist union members at Boots in understanding where their pay sits in comparison to "market rates".

  The UK government has announced that it is ending a scheme for NHS workers which has provided free parking to those on duty during the COVID-19 emergency response period.

  There have been reports of anomalies in the booking system for Covid-19 vaccination sessions in the Glasgow and Greater Clyde health board area, and allegations that some pharmacists may have used technology to secure multiple shifts ahead of others.

  The PDA has continued to support locum pharmacists who have been subjected to changes in the arrangements for their role in providing Covid-19 vaccinations in Scotland.  

• PDA members at Rowlands concerned as some told they will receive no pay increase

  The PDA is receiving calls from pharmacists at Rowlands that have concerns about the company's decision and communications regarding pay rates, including from some who claim that their Regional Leaders have just phoned pharmacists to tell them there will be no pay increase this year.
