PDA write to GPhC with concerns about lack of H&S reporting by community pharmacy employers

The PDA have formally written to the GPhC with their concerns about the failure of community pharmacy employers to report any instances of likely exposure to the coronavirus in the workplace.

Latest on pharmacist union recognition at LloydsPharmacy

At the request of members, the PDA Union has submitted a statutory application for recognition to secure an independent voice at work for pharmacists at LloydsPharmacy (Lloyds). In a recent communication to pharmacists the company management claimed to be surprised by this action, so the union is reiterating how we reached this point while also giving an update on latest developments.

PDA members at LloydsPharmacy need your help

Senior management at the McKesson group, the owners of LloydsPharmacy, have disputed the call from their pharmacists for an independent voice at work through a voluntary agreement of union recognition. Those pharmacists are now asking for help from colleagues across the profession.

PDA comment on announcements of pay increases for public servants

A PDA survey has shown that 4 in 10 community pharmacists who caught COVID believe they caught it at work. This raises further serious questions about the actions of community pharmacy employers who have not reported cases to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
