Prompted by the preparations for the UK’s exit from the EU, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is proposing some changes to the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 to ensure the continuity of the supply of medicines when the UK leaves the EU, including in a ‘no deal’ scenario.

Concerns over physical safety of Boots Pharmacists as security reduced.

Pharmacists at Boots midnight stores are raising concerns at work after local management have decided to reduce the level of security cover in some stores. The winter season brings darker evenings and increased numbers of shoppers and potentially increased numbers of shoplifters.

New senior appointment at Boots – does this herald a positive era for employee relations?

Boots have announced that they have appointed Tracey Clements as Chief Operating Officer. Tracey is currently an executive at the retail giant Tesco. Pharmacists will be hopeful that this new appointment will bring a fresh perspective to employees’ rights at work.
