Later in the same week that the PDA launched our #getvaccinated campaign for pharmacists, the British Asian Trust hosted a seminar to discuss the Covid-19 vaccination programme and facts for the BAME community, attended by a PDA representative.

Professor Joy Wingfield

The PDA are deeply saddened by the death of Professor Joy Wingfield from COVID-19. A powerful advocate for fairness, justice and the professional independence of pharmacists, Joy was one of the team who established the PDA.

LGBT+ History Month 2021

In the UK, LGBT+ History Month is celebrated during the month of February in order to coincide with the anniversary of the 2003 repeal of Section 28 in England and Wales, which declared that local authorities were not allowed to ‘intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality.’ Section 28 was abolished earlier in Scotland, in 2000.
