Organisational Structure

The National Executive is the policy making body of the union and comprises six directly elected officers and four members each representing one region. A member representing trainee pharmacists and pharmacy students also attends.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) comprises:

– Six directly elected officers

– General Secretary

– Assistant General Secretary (Strategic)

– Assistant General Secretary (Tactical)

– Assistant General Secretary (Administration and Membership)

– Assistant General Secretary (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion)

– Treasurer

-Regional Representatives

One each from each of the four PDA regions within the UK:

  • Scotland and Northern Ireland
  • Northern England
  • Southern England
  • Western England & Wales

The Regional Committees each have representatives for:

– Community pharmacists

– Hospital pharmacists

– Locums

– Primary Care and Specialist pharmacists

– One member on the National Executive representing students and pre-registration graduates

Members have the right to bring any topic directly to the notice of the National Executive Committee or through their Membership Groups.
