Locum and employed pharmacists should check arrangements for them to receive up to £500 government payment in Scotland and Northern Ireland

Employers, in Northern Ireland and in Scotland, have been asked by their respective governments to provide information about how many eligible pharmacists, including locums, will receive up to £500 as a payment from government for their contribution in 2020 towards tackling the Covid pandemic.

New PDA Regional Official for members in Northern Ireland

The PDA welcomes Una O’Farrell, new Regional Official for Northern Ireland, who joins the Organising and Engagement department. Una, a community pharmacist locum who is passionate about pharmacy and pharmacist’s potential, will support PDA members in Northern Ireland, including co-ordinating the Regional Committee members who represent all sectors of pharmacy.

PDA welcomes £500 payment for Northern Ireland health workers

The PDA Union, which represents pharmacists across the UK, has welcomed the announcement from Northern Ireland Health Minister Robin Swann that he intends to provide a one-off £500 special recognition payment to health and social care workers due to their work during the coronavirus pandemic.

PDA responds to PSNI consultation on guidance on maintaining clear sexual boundaries

Earlier this month (4 - 14 April 2019), the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) consulted on draft guidance for ‘Maintaining Clear Sexual Boundaries with People Receiving Care’.
